It has been a great learning journey for our young learners this week. Our beloved Kindergartens have taken their amazing skills, enthusiasm and huge effort into the next level of fun and exploration!
Our KG1 students have started learning two phonemes this week; letters /Oo/ and /Uu/. They have been eager to practice these phonemes and have practiced them in a variety of ways through playdough activities, drawing, tracing, writing and online games. They also have enjoyed exploring the sea creatures especially the octopus. They sang and made an octopus craft, drew it and counted its tentacles to explore our letter /Oo/. Moreover, they have drawn an umbrella and scribble lower case /u/ under it. Our smart students have also enjoyed practicing their assigned sight words each day through sight words hunt and play. What amazing activities we had in English this week!
In Science and Math, we have been discussing and exploring animals; we made an animal board to showcase their favourite pets and animals in the farm. All our KG1 students are incredibly great at naming a few animals, what they eat, where they live and how they look like. We have also given the chance to count sets 2 to 15 using different animals that live in the water, on land and up in the air. We are all very proud of our little, smarty KG1s!
In KG2, the students have conducted a simple experiment on colors; they have mixed red and blue paint to make purple paint and painted their new shape heptagon. They sang a lovely song about a heptagon having seven sides. They also have learned three new sight words ‘are’, ‘was’ and ‘they’, and threw beanbags at these words and wrote them in their copies.
We are all pleased of what our KG students can do thus far, and they will all definitely sour higher each day in school! Let’s cheer them up every day and show we are so proud of their achievement in school!
