We hope you are all keeping well and that you are having a blessed Ramadan. This was the first week back after the Spring Break, and all the KG students and teachers returned to school well-rested and ready to work hard!
The students in KG1A spent some time this week revising their phonics and counting. They were also practicing their fine motor skills. The students warmed up the muscles in their fingers by doing lots of activities such as playing with playdough, threading, building with Lego blocks, and cutting with scissors.
Here you can see some KG1B students doing a cutting and pasting activity. This was also an excellent way for the children to practice their sorting skills, and to identify upper and lowercase letters.
The students also had a lot of fun making rainbow bracelets.
This week the KG2 students were also kept very busy! They were learning about density by doing a floating and sinking experiment. Here you can see the KG2E students being little scientists. By placing different objects in water to see if they would sink or float.
The students were also revising their subtraction skills and here you can see the KG2E students having a lot of fun outside. They used a number sentence strip and shapes to show that they can take away and write numbers!
There was also some time to make art and celebrate Ramadan by making some beautiful crescent moons. The students cut them out, painted them yellow, and put gold glitter on them.
