RAKAA Newsletter Term 3, Week 7
KG1:
We had fun completing our science projects and experimenting about different sounds and vibrations and creating music instruments from recycled materials such as cereal boxes and empty bottles. We created a guitar and shaker and enjoyed hearing the different sounds the musical instruments made. The students learned a lot about different sounds and used their hearing and touch senses to complete tasks in class.
KG2:
In KG2 this week we are looking at the ab, ad, and ap word families. We had fun in our centers doing different activities. One of our favorites was choosing the balls with the words and drawing a picture to match it. We have also been progressing with our tens and ones and had fun putting them in number bonds. We made yummy ice creams to show our understanding of how numbers are made!
In KG2 the students practiced learning about teen numbers and putting them in number bond. KG2 students worked independently to complete tasks and achieve their weekly targets. The students in KG2 also made some fun arts and craft, they used scissors and glue to make frogs, some used it on ice cream sticks and some stuck it on colorful paper. The students had fun and used paint to show their love for colors.
